In our entry today we would like to introduce you to Bryan Steel. Bryan is a former Olympic, World and Commonwealth Games medalist who is now also a brand ambassador for Arrivée Performance Clothing.

Below our MD Mark reflects on when he first met Bryan and recounts a race that they should have won together:

‘’Bryan and I first met back in late 2001 when I was a 19 year old first year U23 rider, during a training camp in Majorca. The Great Britain training camps on this small Spanish island where always a brutal affair and at the end of the second week we turned up to race a 140km Elite race that was being held on the island. This race was a number of laps around a rolling circuit and towards the end Bryan and I made the winning move and where joined by two other riders.  This was the race-winning move and we knew it, so we all committed to working hard to ensure it stayed away. At the finish we both messed up the final sprint to the line with me coming home 3rd and Bryan 4th. Team manager John Herety had some choice words for us afterwards as we should have had this wrapped up really. A long 3-hour training ride after the race was scheduled and we got back on our bikes and headed out again to ponder our tactical mistakes from the race. That evening we went to Tolo’s restaurant on the sea front in Pollenca and even Tolo, the restaurant owner knew about our mess up’’

Mark and Bryan have known each for a number of years and this partnership has come together through their shared core values and goals. We hope to be able to add real value to our customers through this partnership by continuing to provide new and exciting products to our range of world class cycling apparel

We hope you have enjoyed our quick trip down memory lane and as always if you have any questions or comments then please do reach out and make contact with us – we would love to hear from you,

Until next time,
